The Nigerian Government is a bunch full of dynamism as every Government that comes into power implement a different policies from what their predecessors did. And most time leads to interest in conflicts.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has recently retired 21 Assistant inspectors General o Police (AIG’s). According to source they being retired because they are senior to the current acting inspector General of the Nigerian police Force
In signed statement by Ikechukwu Ani confirmed that the 21 Assistant Inspectors General of Police were seniors to the new acting Inspector General of Police, Idris Ibrahim, before
his appointment.
According to Vanguard and Thisday News the retired AIGs may have been approved due to President Mohammadu Buhari new policy on cleaning up the top echelon of the force, to allow effective operations of the new appointees.
According to the statement, the affected AIGs are:
