Brutail; If Dialogue Fail We’ll take other Alternative against Avengers

After long struggle between the militant and the federal government of Nigeria, The chief of army staff, Lt-Gen Tukur Buratai, yesterday, said that if the dialogue with the notorious militant group of the Niger Delta Avengers fails
. They will deploy full military action in the oil rich Niger Delta region.

He spoke yesterday at the commissioning of 2 Brigade Command administrative office complex in Port Harcourt, through Major- General Ibrahim Atahiru, he said the government is still disposed to dialogue with the militant, but if dialogue fails, it will be force to settle for other alternatives.

 Buratai also said “The non-kinetic has always been the source first before government can recourse to the kinetic means. There is the need for the Niger Delta Avengers to see reason and dialogue with government,”

The Army chief later commissioned other projects at the Command such as the swimming pool, office complex for regiment officers as well as building blocks at the Command Hospital.

Other project that was commissioned include: swimming pool, office complex for regiment officers, and building blocks at the Command Hospital. Which he hail the 2 Brigade Command for the successful completion of the complex, which he said would boost operation and efficiency.
