How All Progressive Congress (APC) Won Imo State Senatorial Elections


Yesterday Mr. Ben. Uwajumogu of All progressive Congress (APC) has been announced winner of the Imo North district rerun Senatorial election against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr.
Athan Achonu. Which was announced by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).


According to the INEC Returning Officer Prof. Arinze Agbogu.  Uwajumogu scored
56,076 votes to defeat Mr Athan Achonu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 43, 815 votes. On Friday July[P1] [P2]  28, Prof. Agbogu said it was the outcome of the summation of July 23 and that yesterday Friday July, 28, exercise.

Also Mr. Ikenna Nzeruo of the APC was also declared winner of Oru East State Constituency, Mr. Collins Chiji of APC was also declared winner for the Isiala Mbano State Constituency.

Agbogu said that available data before him showed that Uwajumogu had majority of lawful votes cast, and therefore returned elected for the Imo North Senatorial District.

Uwajumogu who spoke in the mind of excitement told journalist that he was so happy, and praised Rochas Okorocha for putting the right structures in place that made him win the Senatorial election.

Two constituency election was also declared inconclusive due to some crisis between the both parties in the State on July 23.
