Yesterday at the church annual convention which started on Monday1st
August, 2016 with thousands of people present, which witness the ordination
1,825 assistant pastors, which fell compare to
the 2,007 ordained at the Last year
convention.According to Vanguard News, the service was anchored by the General Overseer with assistance from his wife and the General Overseer of Living Waters Church, Pastor Joe Olaiya with other senior pastors of the church who anointed the men and women of God with the bottles of olive oil.
Pastor Olaiya encouraged the 1,825 new assistance Pastors in a message titled “Jeusu the name above other names” to hunger for Jesus Christ,
He further said, that the secret of victory and fruitfulness in ministry and life is hidden in the Knowledge of Jesus Christ, describing Jesus as the. World Righteous King, King of Peace, and others. He said the more a man knows Christ, the better such life will be. He also encouraged the congregation to pray earnestly for divine revelation of Christ in their lives.
“The more you know Christ,” Olaiya emphasized, “the better your life. You cannot believe a man more than the way you love him. The more you know Christ, the more you love Him and the more effective He is in your life.”
The pastor prayed for the ordained pastors that the name Jesus will bring forth signs and wonders, miracles, salvation of souls to God’s kingdom as they go their various ministerial endeavors.
The source also said the church service also include the meeting of the children of God and six seminars: “Unmarried youth: We will not marry the wrong person; Married Youth: There will be harmony in our homes; Elders: No more sorrows; and Teenagers: We shall be greater than our parents.”
