It is true in case you don’t know, the New Delhi
the capital of Indian now allows women travelling through the metro trains to
carry knife for self-protections, after series of news of sexual harassment in
the city and other part of its country.
According to the Hindus Times “the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) allowed
small knives up to four inched long” according to source, even lighters and
matchboxes, were
earlier disallowed, have been removed from band items in New
Delhi. “However, we examined the tools and make an entry in register so that
the passenger can be traced if needed,” a CISF official told Hindus Times.
The official also said the “We carried and in a
review and found that with this items passengers safety is not in danger,” when
asked about the danger it posed to the society.
A source said the action taken by CISF may have been
motivated due to what happened in Bangalore Early last week, when dozens of
women were allegedly molested, in the present of more than 1500 Indian Police
officials.
However, the country seems divided about the CISF’S
new policy. Some the citizen say its good while others say is a ‘scatty’ idea.
